The University of the World will offer Associate’s and Master’s degrees in four main areas:
Education Leadership
Family Agriculture
Entrepreneurship & Innovation
Home-centered Health
Local-to-Global Connectivity
An essential curriculum in each of these areas guides students to design their individualized Learning Plans according with their interests, previous education, and experience. A key pedagogical element in all degrees offered is the development of opportunities for students to be put into “real world situations” which they must “learn their way through” in order to strengthen their knowledge and competency set, guided by their personal goals, as established in their Learning Plans. Click on the degree area to see how the curricula may unfold.
The University of the World will pilot these five degrees in the near future. Until that time, the University will continue to test its pedagogy and collect evidence to support and refine its approach through the first pilot class, beginning in the Fall 2015. This hybrid class will fuse some of the University’s innovative pedagogy with the accredited Master’s degree structure of Future Generations Graduate School.
